The Center for the Intrepid is a rehabilitation facility to treat amputees, burn victims and other severely injured active duty soldiers. It is located next to the San Antonio Military Medical Center at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas.
Members of the Marshall Ranch Hunting Club, located on the Pecos River near Pandale, Texas, host a 3-day whitetail deer hunt each January. GeMROI partner Kendall Jackson and his family donate the use of their ranch land for this event. In January 2020, the hunters achieved 100% success on the first day and were entertained by live music from Jarrod Johnson, Jake Babb and Bud Nelson.
The GeMROI Company is one of the Premier Sponsors of this hunt and is proud to support our Injured Military Members

For the third straight year Forest Creek Golf Club members David Conner, a long time partner with GeMROI, and his wife Kathy have organized the Toys for Tots fundraiser with David’s Saturday Morning golf group.
This year, 22 golfers braved a cold and rainy Saturday to pay their $30 entry fee and an additional $5 for every birdie scored during the 18 holes. The participants are then invited to the Conners’ home for beverages and homemade chili, as results are tallied.
The event is played from the forward tees to increase birdie opportunities —and well it did! A total of 39 birdies and one eagle were recorded, that, along with donations from the club members unable to play, generated over $11,000 for Toys for Tots. Local Pinehurst resident Jerry Townly, who volunteers his time to lead the Moore County effort and is one of 800 National coordinators that make Toys for Tots such a success, said the Forest Creek event accounts for over half of the total cash donations raised in the county.
Several other golf clubs, as well as organizations like VFW, private parties and other organized events contribute significant toy donations, that are equally important, but the Forest Creek donation helps to purchase toys to balance out age level gifts.

Our Reach To Recovery volunteers are specially trained to help people through their experience by offering a measure of comfort and an opportunity for emotional grounding and informed decision making. As breast cancer survivors, our volunteers give patients and family members an opportunity to express feelings, talk about fears and concerns, and ask questions of someone who has been there. Most importantly, Reach To Recovery volunteers offer understanding, support, and hope because they themselves have survived breast cancer and gone on to live productive lives. Program volunteers do not provide medical advice.
