After graduating from Roanoke College in 1992, Bert got his start with a wholesale distribution company that allowed him the opportunity to handle everything from prehanging doors and loading trucks to being a head buyer and sales person. From there he went on to another wholesaler in the Mid-Atlantic that wanted to develop a millwork program. Once that was off and running, he joined GeMROI in 1998 as a salesperson in Maryland. Today that continues with his efforts in the Virginia and West Virginia markets. Bert currently resides in Charlottesville, VA, with his wife, son and daughter.
